Extended Warranty Service Agreement

Mechanical and electrical breakdown to the extent provided by the manufacturer’s warranty for domestic electrical/electronic products manufactured in India or is legally imported in India & Sold through Official channels supported by an invoice & Manufacturer’s warranty/Guarantee.

The extended warranty cover commences on expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty/guarantee period and is for a period mentioned in the “Service contract details” section of the service contract certificate.

Any product failure arising before the commencement of the service contract period i.e., during the manufacturer’s warranty/guarantee period or after the expiration of the service contract period will not be covered by this service contract.
Products Covered
This service contract covers specific models of domestic electrical/electronic products such as color televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, home theatres, air conditioners, microwave ovens, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, small appliances and any other product that would include from time to time.

Only new assets shall be covered under this contract and this contract is non transferable.
Maximum Liability

Per repair – our liability for any one repair shall in no event exceed the lower of either the original purchase price paid for the applicable product or the retail price of the model of a similar specification and like functionally, at the time of said repair.

Aggregate – The total of all benefits paid or payable during the service contract certificate period towards any particular product holding a service contract certificate covered under this service contract shall not exceed the lower of the original purchase price paid for the applicable product or the retail price of the model of a similar specification and like functionality.

What is Covered?

Company will organize for repair to normal operating condition, or replace at our discretion a covered electrical/electronic product after it has suffered a covered electrical or mechanical breakdown during normal use.

This service contract covers the cost of parts and labour for all products on a carry-in basis and call out charges for in-home service (where applicable) on certain non-profitable products.

You will be advised which coverage is provided when you report the failure/claim.


Your asset will be deemed a Total loss/ BER (Beyond Economic Repair) when we consider it uneconomical to repair the covered asset or when the repair costs exceed the invoice price minus the applicable depreciation, salvage and processing fee as the case may be.

If the estimated repair cost is more than 75% of the market value of the asset, it shall be treated as a Total Loss case.

In the event of Total loss or if the device asset is Beyond Economic Repair, You shall be entitled for Replacement asset of similar make, model and specifications.

This decision is at our sole discretion. In the event of product replacement this coverage under the service contract certificate will prematurely terminate with no refund of fee and the product becomes our property.

We are not responsible for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or loss of use of the product.

This contract is valid only in India on products which are purchased and repaired within India.
Conditions of Cover
The service contract is only valid if:

  1.  The product is supported by an invoice and manufacturer’s warranty/guarantee.

  2.   The product is purchased new and is supported by manufacturer’s warranty/guarantee.

  3.   The product is for domestic and personal use only. Cover is not valid on products intended for commercial, rental or profit generation purposes.

  4.   The product is used in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines for product usage including but not limited to regular maintenance and upkeep of the product.

  5.   Manufacturer’s warranty/guarantee remains valid throughout its validity period.

What is Not Covered?

This Extended Warranty Service Agreement does not cover the following components or specific conditions:

  • Costs implicitly or explicitly covered by any manufacturers, suppliers or repairers guarantee or warranty.

  • Non-operating and cosmetic damage to the product, such as damage to paintwork, product finish, dents or scratches.

  • Accessories used in or with the product (for example, computer software, modem, scanner, printer and charger).

  • Replacement of any consumable item or accessory. These include, but are not limited to: plugs, fuses, batteries, light bulbs, light covers, cable, filters, attachments, belts, toner, ribbons, drums, tapes or software, and add-on options incorporated in a product for which the service contract was purchased.

  • Any loss arising out of normal wear and tear of the covered Asset or its parts.
  • Routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, tunings, resetting of controls, adjustments or alignments, overhaul, modification and de-scaling.

  • Damage caused by unauthorized repair, theft, burglary and accident including earthquake, storm and/or hurricane, wilful act, abuse, misuse, sand, dust, water, negligence, fire, flood, lightning, malicious damage, impact, corrosion, battery leakage, acts of god, animal or insect infestation or intrusion.

  • Damage resulting from power outage, power surges or dips, fluctuating voltage, inadequate or improper voltage or current.

  • Cost of removal or re-installation of the product.

  • Reception or transmission problems resulting from external causes.

  • Problems or defects not covered under the original manufacturer’s warranty/Guarantee.

  • Batteries, internal or external to the product.

  • Breakdowns caused by computer virus or realignments to products.

  • Product recalls or any modification to the covered Asset or use which is not in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions or use of any accessory which has not been approved
  • Failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Costs arising from incorrect installation, modification or maintenance.

  • Costs if no fault is found with the product.

  • Costs arising from being unable to use the product or from damage which results from the breakdown of the product.

  • Use of covered Asset in a commercial environment or Commercial usage as identified in the service contract certificate.

  • Damage/failure caused before or during product delivery.

  • Use of batteries charger and/or accessories not approved by the manufacturer, incorrect electrical leads or connection.

  • The cost of repairing, restoring or reconfiguring computer software.

  • We are not responsible for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or loss of use of the product. Any legal liability, consequential loss, loss of use or damage/injury to third party

  • Any equipment whose warranty schedule, invoice, receipt or serial plate has been modified, defaced or ruined or tampered

  • Losses arising out of any third party software related issues or issues arising out of the abnormal functioning of OS (operating system)

Plan Cancellation

You may cancel this contract within 30 days of purchase of service contract.

After expiry of 30 days no cancellation and refund will be permitted.
To cancel Your service contract, simply return this certificate along with a notice of cancellation to the company from whom You purchased this Service Contract.

We may cancel the contract at any time by giving You 15 days’ notice in writing to Your last known address.

You will be eligible for a pro-rata refund of the fee you paid.

In the event of theft, fraud, sale or return of the Product to Us, we will cancel this Service Contract with no refund.
Assurify Terms Of Use : Accidental & Liquid Damage Protection


Complete Device Damage Protection Plan from Assurify
The complete damage protection plan for insurance coverage of your Equipment (Air conditioner, Washing machine, Refrigerator, LED/LCD television, Home theater & sound bar, laptop, desktop, microwave oven & OTG, dishwasher, camera, smartphone (Android & Apple), Apple iPad, Android tablet, or graphic tablet, as applicable), powered by Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited.

The plans needs to be activated within 5-days of the purchasing the accidental, physical and liquid damage protection plan. Failing to activate the plan leads plan failure without the possibility of cancellation and/or refund.

You will be covered under the above-mentioned protection plan policy for a sum insured of up to the maximum of the equipment purchase value for accidental damage (including liquid damage) but excluding theft and burglary of your equipment during the policy period. Please refer to the exclusions as mentioned in the Insurance Policy Terms and Conditions enclosed herewith. Please note that in case of Damage (partial loss) to the covered equipment under the policy, you will be paid the repair cost of your equipment after adjustment of compulsory deductible specified in the terms.

In the event of Total Loss of the covered equipment under the policy you will be paid the invoice value of the equipment less depreciation based on the age of your equipment on the date of accidental damage (including liquid damage), less compulsory deductible at the rates as specified below but limited nevertheless to the invoice value at the time of purchase.

You must intimate the Accidental Damage claim to Assurify by telephone/e-mail, immediately after you have discovered the loss but not later than forty-eight (48) hours of discovering the accidental damage loss/incident. Assurify cannot be held responsible for declining the service request if failing to report the damage/incident within the specified time limit.

Service requests need to be raised after 7-days of plan activation. Service requests raised within 7-days of plan activation will be rejected.

Depreciation Applicable of ADLD C for Devices
  •   0 to 3 months: 20%
  •   3 to 6 months: 30%
  •   6 to 12 months: 40%


Compulsory excess of 7.5% of claim value will deducted for every service request
Assurify Damage Protection Plan Benefits

Once the damage protection plan is activated, thereafter if your device incident during the plan period, Assurify will pay any amount subject to conditions 1 and 2 detailed below:

Condition 1: Depreciation will be applicable for total damage claims which will be calculated as a percentage as defined below upon the invoice value. For Partial Damage claims depreciation is not applicable.

Condition 2: In case of partial damage and total damage, every service request of the activated plans shall be subject to a deductible of 7.5% of repair cost.

Condition 3: In case the repair cost is more than 75% of the invoice price, a salvage applicable.

Assurify Damage Protection Plan Exclusions

This protection plan does not cover your loss or liability caused by or arising out of or aggravated by:

  •  Damage caused by any process of cleaning, dyeing, or bleaching, restoring, servicing, preventative maintenance, repairing or renovation or deterioration arising from wear and tear, moth, vermin, insects or mildew or any other gradually operating cause.

  •  Loss or damage caused by mechanical or electrical derangement/ breakdown of any article unless caused by accidental external means or specifically declared and accepted by us and expressly stated in the policy schedule.

  •  Any loss or damage arising through delay, detention or confiscation by Customs or other authorities.

  •  Loss or damage whether direct or indirect arising from War, Warlike operations, Act of Foreign Enemy, Hostilities (whether war be declared or not), Civil war, rebellion, Insurrection, Civil Commotion, Military or Usurped Power, Seizure, Capture, confiscation, Arrests Restraints and Detainment by the order of any Government or any other authority.

  •  Terrorism: This Policy excludes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any act of terrorism regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to the loss.

  •  Any loss, destruction, or damage to any property whatsoever or any loss or expense whatsoever, resulting or arising there from or any consequential loss and any legal liability of whatsoever nature, directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from ionizing, radiation, or contamination by radioactivity from any source whatsoever.

  •  Any loss, destruction, damage or legal liability directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from Nuclear Weapons Material.

  •  Loss damage or consequential loss directly or indirectly caused by, consisting of, or arising from any functioning or malfunctioning of the internet or similar facility, or of any intranet or private network or similar facility.

  •  This shall not exclude subsequent damage not otherwise excluded which itself results from an insured peril.

  •  Consequential loss or legal liability of any kind.

  •  Loss or damage due to or contributed to by the Insured having caused or suffered anything to be done whereby the risks hereby insured against were unnecessarily increased.

  •  Loss or damage due to misplacement, misuse, reckless, abusive, willful, or intentional conduct associated with handling and use of the covered item.

  •  Any cosmetic loss or damage including but not limited to scratches and dents that do not otherwise affect the functionality of the covered item.

  •  Loss or damage arising out of any pre-existing conditions.

  •  Loss or damage arising out of the misuse of or use other than in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendation of or use of any accessory which has not been approved by the manufacturer with the insured appliances.

  •  Loss of SIM memory card, charger/cables, adaptor, batteries, and other accessories.

  •  Any loss or damage caused due to explosion of battery.

  •  The excess stated in the plan to be borne by the insured in any one occurrence.

  •  Loss or damage for which the manufacturer or supplier of the insured items is responsible either by law or under contract.

  •  Loss or damage caused by willful act or gross negligence.

  •  Damage to device due to fall of device from shirt pocket while bending down.

  •  Damage/loss to device due to unexplained circumstances.

  •  Damage to device because of sitting on the device.

  •  Liquid damage to device if taken to swimming pool, river, sea, or beach.

  •  Damage to device while participating in any kind of sports activity including swimming and gym.

  •  The cover shall be voidable in the event of misrepresentation. misdescription or non-disclosure of any material particular to the insured device.

  •  Loss of or damage to the device that is registered in the name of a corporate entity and is not used by a bonafide user.

  •  Any type of self-repair or attempted self-repair of the Insured Device by the insured.

  •  Any damage or loss occasioned from any water borne craft or swimming activity.

  •  Non-availability of proper device purchase proof (Tax Invoice copy) with proper GSTIN details of the seller and tax charged breakup.

  •  Device repaired/Replaced without the formal approval from Insurance company.

  •  Device Identity: IMEI or serial number of the device should be clearly visible in the submitted salvage, claim shall be rejected in case identity of device is not proven.

  •  Loss or damage caused to the Insured Device due incorrect storage, installation, or incorrect setup by the insured.

  •  Use of the insured device for commercial activity by giving the insured device to other company on hire, rental, loan, or the device ownership us transferred to the third party.

  •  Device unboxing, or the device activation date is prior to the device invoice date, in such scenarios, the plan stands void.

Cancellation Terms For Damage Protection Plan

The damage protection plans purchased from the Assurify website can be cancelled within 5 days of purchase. No cancellations can be made by the customer after 5 days from the date of purchase of damage protection plan.

If the customer makes a request, knowing it to be false and/or fraudulent as regards the value or the amount of work or otherwise, this Service Agreement is deemed to be cancelled from inception without return of money paid and the customer must return all request payments received till such cancellation, including any shipping charges or other ancillary charges incurred by Assurify.

Please be advised, a plan once activated, it cannot be cancelled or refunded, even if it falles under 5-days window.
