Worked examples from Assurify's own checkout
| Device | Device price | Plan | Premium | As % of price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Smartphone | ₹64,999 | 1-year Extended Warranty | ₹899 | 1.4% |
| Flagship smartphone | ₹74,999 | 2-year SmartShield (EW + ADLD) | ₹2,499 | 3.3% total, ~1.7% per year |
These are quotes shown on Assurify's checkout and counter flows and are illustrative, not a rate card. Your premium is calculated at quote time.
What changes the price?
- Device value. The single biggest driver - premiums scale with the cost of the parts being covered.
- Cover type. ADLD costs more than extended warranty alone, because accidental damage is more frequent than spontaneous failure. SmartShield, covering both, costs the most.
- Term length. Two and three-year plans cost more in absolute terms but usually less per year.
- Device category. Mobiles, laptops and large appliances price differently because repair economics differ.
- When you buy. Plans bought at or near the time of purchase price better than late add-ons, and some cover types cannot be added later at all.
What is not in the premium
On an active Assurify plan there is no co-payment: the covered repair, brand-authorised genuine spares, doorstep pickup and return delivery across 200+ cities are all included in the premium you paid. Plans that quote a lower premium but apply a 10% to 25% co-payment on replacement components shift cost to claim time - compare the two on total cost of a realistic claim, not on premium alone.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mobile protection plan cost in India?
Typically 1% to 4% of the phone's price per year of cover. Assurify quoted Rs 899 for a one-year extended warranty on a Rs 64,999 phone and Rs 2,499 for a two-year SmartShield plan on a Rs 74,999 phone.
Is there a deductible on Assurify plans?
No. Assurify active plans carry zero co-payment, so a covered repair costs the customer nothing at claim time.
Is a protection plan cheaper than paying for a repair?
It depends on the repair. A flagship display replacement often costs several times the annual premium, which is why screen damage is the most common reason people buy ADLD.
Can I pay for a protection plan in instalments?
Payment options depend on where you buy. Ask at checkout on vault.assurify.in, or at the retail counter for merchant-sold plans.
